Well... I got hooked up at Joann's yesterday. They are doing away with the Maxi Lock serger thread so it's on sale. We are talking .99 cents for solid colors and 2.97 for the yummy swirls. My Joann's did not have them marked down, but I did ask my new friend Nancy to ring them up for me and they showed up at the sale price. I got 8 or 9 of the swirls to last me the rest of my life... no blue though!
Although I love sewing - I just need something other than diapers. I hate sewing in elastic and will put it off until forever (hopefully the new serger thread will motivate me). I enjoyed making my diaper bag and need to do some me/non-diaper related projects to remember how much I love to sew and design things.
I found these tutorials/patterns that I will tweak to meet my needs:

I've been itching to make something that will allow me to do pleats and making wallets is a great way to use up scraps.
I should also make myself some nursing pads since I have none, and of course I need to make some mama cloth. I still haven't found a pattern for either one that I'm all about, but the search will continue.
For Benny, I'd like to make him a toddler pillow since I can't seem to find one the right size. I did make him a pair of baby legs, but Brandon made me agree to NEVER taking a picture of him in then.

These are so easy and so quick... super quick... instant satisfaction
And Brandon wants a bag that he can attach to his bike, has the lining ripped in like 40 pairs of pants, and needs a pocket fixed. The bike bag I look forward to, but the ripped lining and the pocket already make me want to claw my eyes out.
Everett needs some fleece sleep sacks so he can wear fitted diapers through the night and it not be an issue.
If I wasn't having a spring/summer baby I would be ALL over something like this:
Warm, woolie, and a sleeper - so perfect for a winter baby!
